Business Development Manager (Omaha, Nebraska) Overview:
The Business Development Manager (Omaha, Nebraska) will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to support an electrical contractor’s growth objectives. This role combines strategic planning, client relationship management, and market analysis to drive revenue and expand the contractor’s commercial and industrial client base in Nebraska.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, including sourcing and qualifying potential projects for large commercial and industrial electrical contracts.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with current and prospective customers to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provides oversight and assistance as needed for the team of experienced estimators
- Applies estimating best practices and procedures.
- Conducts job site visits as necessary.
- Qualifies quotes for special materials and sub-contracts.
- Prepares and oversees proposal letters, bid forms, and turnover packages on awarded projects.
Business Development Manager Qualifications
- A college degree in a related field, 1 year of relevant experience, or 3 years of recent electrical industry business development experience.
- Commercial and industrial electrical estimating experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of blueprints, specifications, codes and regulations.
- Proficient computer skills and exposure to MS Office and Accubid or Estimation Logistics.
- Ability to travel.
