Electrical Site Safety Manager (Sterling, Virginia) Position Overview:
The Electrical Site Safety Manager (Sterling, Virginia) will oversee safety protocols on commercial electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to create a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Electrical Site Safety Manager Responsibilities
- Conduct daily and weekly safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and other relevant safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations, providing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Lead and document safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and trade contractors to promote a culture of safety.
- Conduct job site orientations for new employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date with industry safety regulations, training methods, and best practices.
- Assist in the development of emergency response procedures and conduct safety drills.
Electrical Site Safety Manager Qualifications
- Knowledge of OSHA, Federal and State Safety Laws.
- Commercial Electrical Experience is Highly Preferred.
- M.S. or M.P.H. or M.B.A. or M.A. in Safety or Risk Management Field
- ASP/CSP/ CHST
- CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor
- OSHA 510/500
